We are trying to use Outlook 2003 with Office 2000.
Is there any way I can use Word as my Email editor, or send Email as a word
document?  I always get the following message when I try.

Word could not load the e mail envelope

thanks,
Craig

I believe that the two versions may be incompatible in this respect, not
that I have ever had the slightest inclination to want to use Word as an
email editor.

You might however ask in one of the Outlook newsgroups to confirm the above.

Hope this helps,

Adding to Doug's response, no, you cannot use Word 2000 as Wordmail editor
for Outlook 2003.  Both the Outlook and Word versions must be the same, so
you must either revert to Outlook 2000 or update Word to 2003.

Does the same go for Outlook 2002 and Word 2000?  The "Use Word as email
editor" seems to be greyed out and not available.

Yes, exactly the same, the versions must match.
