I need to use VBA from Word to open a new Goldmine v.6.5 email message programmatically, and hopefully even go a step further and
attach a file or 2 to the new message. I'm not seeing much talk of VBA in the Goldmine forums so I'm kinda worried about now. I
really need this to happen. Can anybody help? I'm flexible and willing to give almost anything a shot. It is starting to appear that
Goldmine doesn't work and play well with others.

Thanks in advance.

This is doable.

Goldmine has a newsgroup and while the folks there aren't as good as the Fox
folk in answering questions they're still pretty good. Also, there are
Goldmine help files all over the internet. You just need to dig around for
them.

I haven't done the email extraction but I have programmed Goldmine through
its API for a recent project. Piece of cake once you get your head around
"The Goldmine Way". <bg>

You should be able to do the same.

All you really need is a copy of Goldmine with the DLL, their API docs and a
programming language of choice. The API should be named something like
GM6S32.DLL or something close.

Sorry I don't have more time to help.

Best,

DD

That's okay. Thanks for giving me the parameters of what I can do to get past this obstacle. I'll begin digging.

Thanks again,
