Allowing more rings when sending fax

Is there a way to set up the Microsoft Windows Fax function so it will allow
a number to ring longer before it gives up? I have a few customers who have
their machines set to answer on about six rings, and the fax gives up before
their machine answers.

Check the documentation of your modem. This is not a Word issue.
