How do you have the main document set up?  What version of Word?  Where is
the Data Source?

Hi Doug - thx for responding.
I'm using Word 2003. The main document is set up as a directory with merge
field listed vertically and <<Next Record>> listed alone at the bottom of the
merge field list
The data source is located under "My Data Sources" on my hard drive and was
created using the mail merge wizard.

Remove the <<Next Record>>.  It is not necessary and if it is used, only
every other record is being merged.
