Why is my mail merge skipping every third record?

When I merge an excel database into a name badge template it skips every
third record.  I believe I do have "next record" in the correct place.  Out
of 362 records only 242 are being merged.  I am using Windows XP Professional.

Where do you have the <<Next Record>> fields?  There should be one BEFORE
the first merge field on each name badge in the mail merge main document
EXCEPT for the first name badge.

You should NOT have the <<Next Record>> field after the merge fields on each
name badge ESPECIALLY after the merge fields on the last name badge on the
mail merge main document as Word indexes automatically when it goes to the
next sheet and if you also have a <<Next Record>> field at that point, Word
will index by 2.

Hope this helps.
