Merging 1500 lines, stops at 712 lines why

I am merging from excel to word the excel has 1504 lines, when it gets to 712
lines it has problems.

Any suggestions as to why or how to fix it.

It is just the same letter to all suppliers, with different suppliers names
and addresses.

Is this when merging directly to a printer or to a new document?

If directly to a printer, try unchecking the background print option under
Tools>Options>Print.
