Even with the field shading turned off, merged data is printing with shading,
using Office 2002, with Excel as a data source.
Any suggestions on what to look at to correct the problem will be appreciated.

In the document that you are printing, what do you see on the screen when
you press Alt+F9?  If you see the { MERGEFIELD } codes, you have not
executed the merge.
