I am trying to swap the name positions of data in readiness for a mail merge.
Although they look ok in the preview, when they prit to screen they swap.
Where are the settings to overcome this annoying little incident

This isn't usual behaviour. Are they inside text boxes or frames? Can you
use Alt-F9 to view the underlying field codes (they look like { MERGEFIELD
myfield } and make sure they look correct, and do not have "\m" (without the
quotes) iin them.
Which version of Word? What is the data source?

Are you using the AddressBlock field? If so, instead of doing that, just
insert the individual merge fields in the configuration that you want.
