ms office 2003 mail merge using a word doc for printing labels. same data
would print out 11 pages in office 2000 but in 2003, only the first label

You have not actually execute the merge.  From the view menu, select
Toolbars and turn on the Mail Merge toolbar and use the buttons at the right
hand end of the toolbar to execute the merge either to the printer or to a
new document.
