I have a legal document that I used in WordPerfect.  It
was setup as a keyboard merge.  Is there any equivalent in
Word?  I know how to use the Forms feature, but that will
not work because I need flexibility in editing the text of
the document as well.

Thanks!

The nearest equivalent in Word is to use the FILLIN and ASK
fields. You can look these up in Word's Help files.

Generally, one creates a template file, with FILLIN fields
where you want to be prompted for information. When you use
File/New and choose this template to create a new document,
the prompts should appear automatically.
