Is this to do with mailmerge and fields (which is what this group is about)?

Otherwise, it is probably better to ask in a more general group. However,
a. does the problem just occur with tables, or is the left margin wrong
even if you use ordinary text?
b. is the table left-aligned?
c. if you select the table then use Table|Properties, do you see anything
in the Table tab that might cause a problem, e.g. having a value other than
0 in the "Indent from Left" box ?
