Hi, I am trying to do a mail merge and print labels from an Excel
spreadsheet - I have Word97 at work and Word2000 at home. I have it
working fine, but I would like to repeat-print 3 labels across for each
entry on the spreadsheet - can't figure it out, feel dumb!  Any help
would be humbly appreciated!

Typically when you have a label merge you have a mail merge main document
with a table. Each label cell has a number of fields, and every label cell
has a <<Next record>> ({ NEXT } field at the beginning, /except/ the first
label cell, which causes Word to start processing the data from the next
record.

So what you really need to do is ensure you only have a { NEXT } field every
3 records. If the number of label cells in the table is a multiple of three,
this is fairly esy - ensure labels 4, 7, 10 etc. have a { NEXT } field and
none of the other label cells have one. If your table has 3 label columns,
this is really easy because all you need do is delete the { NEXT } fields
from every cell in columns 2 and 3. If the number of label cells in the
table is not a multiple of 3, then you should copy the layout of the laebl
page to one or two extra pages to make it up to a multiple of 3, then ensure
that labels 4,7,10 etc. have a { NEXT } field.
