I have a brand new computer. When opening up word, then
going to envelopes and labels, I then click on the
address book icon the following message appears:
Log on failed:  you must log onto Microsoft Exchange to
access your address book.  Why???  I want to be able to
address envelopes from word. How do I resolve this
problem?

Word can only use a MAPI compliant address book, and that essentially means
Outlook - not Outlook Express address book.
Exchange is a MAPI compliant system used primarily for company networks -
read expensive!
