How do I use the Include Text merge field to insert the contents of a
document that is stored on a shared drive?  If I map a drive it will work but
if I include the full path name then it won't - I get a message telling me
that it is an invalid filename.  For various reasons I don't want to use
mapped drives.

Do you have the syntax right? Something along the lines of:

{ INCLUDETEXT  "\\\\ComputerName\\FolderName\\docname.doc" }

I'm sure I do.  I've tried \\\ and \\\\ before the server name and \\
everywhere else.
Thank you for replying.

It requires four slashes.
You should also be able to write it another way eg
{ INCLUDETEXT  "//ComputerName/FolderName/docname.doc" }
Both work here.

You are a STAR.  I've tried both and they do both work.  Thank you so much.
I think all I was missing was the quotes!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
