Mailmerge - Word 2000

Is it possible to extract information from two spreadsheets (Excel 2000) and
merge this data to one document?

Only by extracting it from each sheet to a third sheet in Excel and then
using that sheet as the data source.   Mail merge can only make use of a
single flat data file.
