I have an excel spreadsheet that I am using in my mail merge that has
percentages in it.  When I try to merge my fields together, I keep getting
each number that looks like this 6200000000000002%.  I have tried to go back
and check the formatting of my cells in Excel and they are set as
Percentages.  I have tried entering in a specific field code {={MERGEFIELD
Van}*100\#"0%"} that was given to me from another posting with the same
problem, but I keep getting a Syntax Error.  Is there something that I am
missing or doing wrong?  Any help would be appreciated!

Both pairs of {} have to be the special field braces that you can insert
using ctrl-F9. They can't be the ordinary {} that you can type on the
keyboard. (Everything else can be ordinary text).

That's usually what has gone wrong, anyway...

I tried doing it that way and I still keep getting a Syntax Error.  I put the
field code in, toggled between the field codes and used the Ctrl+F9 feature
to insert the {}.  Put the formual in and still nothing but an error.  HELP,
is there anything else or am I doing it wrong?

1. What is the result of
{ MERGEFIELD Van }
on its own ?

2. What is the result of (say)
{ =0.1*100\#"0%" }
on its own?
