I have a field called Plan Name in a Mail Merge Label template [Avery 5971].
I don't need the complete name for this project therefore I do not want the
name to wrap around on to the next line.

Is there a way to set this field to not wrap around to the next line or to
set the length to 15 characters?

Not in mail merge itself.  Any manipulation of data in such ways would have
to be done in the data source.
