In Mail Merge, I have a donor data base called TntMPD. When I'm sending out
letters, I try to use Mail Merge. First, of course, I go to the "group" in my
database I want to use, then I go into Word/Mail Merge. The problem occurs
when I go to the icon for the Mail Merge recipients. A pop-up window pops up
with my group--HOWEVER, it comes up with the title (Mr./Mrs., etc.) first,
then addresss--the last and then first names don't come until later. The
importance of this is that often I only want to select some, but not all of
the members of the group. However, the names of the recipients aren't visible
so I don't know who to select (unless I know their address). Is there some
was to rearrange the order, so that, on the Mail Merge recipient pop-up they
are sorted by last name first? (They are, indeed, in the proper alphabetical
orer of how the names occur in my database, but I have to be able to see the
last names first in order to select the individuals I want the letters to go
to).

I would do the manipulation in the database.
