I have been using word 2000 for automatic mailmerge from a CRM package. The package creates a word datasource document and the merges the main letter you are using with the datasource.

I have just upgraded to word 2003 and this functionality no longer works. Although the help file says that the mail merge documents should still be compatible, when I open the main document word 2003 does not see it as a mail merge file, just as a normal document. I have tested this by having the mail merge tool bar on view and the checking the document properties.

Opening the file and re-saving them in word 2003 doesn't help

Is there anything that I can do to these documents, there are about 200 hundred of them, that can allow them to be seen still as mailmerge main documents, also is there any way to stop the sql warning message appearing that says that it will use all of the records in the datasource

Thanks

Could you be a bit more specific about which "properties" you're checking? And
please describe, specifically, how "this functionality no longer works". Which
functionality? The CRM (whatever that is or means) or executing the merge?
