Here is what I am doing
I am creating receipts for donations to our church, Each receipt is
comprised of an ORIGINAL and a COPY and I have 2 complete receipts per page
1. Insert a 4 row by 1 column table
2. Adjust the height of the rows so that suit the receipts that you want
to create, setting the height to an exact figure.
3. Enter the fixed text that you want in the first cell
4. Display the Mail merge toolbar
5. Click on the Main document setup button and select Labels as the type
of Mail Merge that you want to perform.
6. Click on Cancel in the Labels dialog that appears.
7. Click on the Open Data Source button on the Mailmerge Toolbar and open
the datasource that you want to use to create the receipts.
8. Insert the merge fields containing the data for the receipts in the
first row/cell of the table
9. Click on the Propogate labels button on the Mail merge tool bar
10. The contents of the first cell will then be replicated in the other
three cells in the table with a << Next Record>> field beings inserted as
the first item in the second through the fourth cells of the table.
11. Remove the <<Next Record>> field from the beginning of the second and
the fourth cells of the table
12. Execute the merge either to the printer or to a new document.
In Word, reveal the field codes using Alt-F9, so you see
After I have done 8 above(which are 4 merged fields(name/address etc), I
want to insert a picture to the right of the merged field.
I did try to place a textbox and all went well EXCEPT that the name in the
textbox did not increment(the same name showed up 4 times per page. What I
really need i is for the first 2 receipts (original and Copy to be for one
person and the next two for the next oerson on the list
I appreciate any help you can give me

Have a look at Graham Mayor's article at
http://www.gmayor.dsl.pipex.com/graphics_on_labels.htm
However, <<Next record>> fields do not work when they are /inside/ text
boxes - as far as I can tell, you do not need to have any of your merge data
inside a text box so you should be OK, but please let us know if that is not
the case.

Hi All
I THOUGHT I had it in the bag BUT....
well I got it working pretty well
BUT I now have a big problem
As I was saying, I am issuing receipts to the parisheners that have made
donations to the church.
The intent was to have two donors on each legal size page(One receipt as the
original and one more for their records).
All I working well EXCEPT that when I select Donor # one he shows up at the
top and donor #two shows up at the bottom of the legal size paper. When I
select the next donor I end up with donor #TWO at the top and donor #three
at the bottom.
What do I have to do to have donors #one and #two on the first page and
donors #three and #four on the following page
PLEASE HELP
Thanks

It sounds as if you are /previewing/ the merge using the <<>> button and the
arrow keys to move from record to record. You need to perform the merge
(either directly to a printer or to an output document).
