Whenever I go to Print preview, the ASK fileds I have set up on my template
keep prompting me to check and OK the content.  I'm using them to insert
headers on manuals that include up to 20 chapters - I therefore have to OK
all of the 20 dialogue boxes when I either go to print preview, or come out
of preview.

Is there a way I can turn this off?  Have checked the Tools, Options and
cannot see anything obvious.

Using office 2003.
Thanks

I don't know of a way to switch it off (Print Preview does tend to execute
merge fields) but you could consider avoiding it by using a different type
of field. For example, if you set up a custom document property (in
File|Properties) for each item you currently have as an ASK, all you really
need to do is
a. go into File|Properties|Custom and modify the value of each property
b. use { DOCPROPERTY "the property name" } fields instead of { REF } fields
wherever you need the results.
