I would like to generate form letters one at a time and I don't want to do a
mail merge.  I have about 6-8 fields that need to be filled in.  Is there any
way to simplify this with fill in boxes?  Ideally, I would go to a screen and
enter my fields and then the letter would be produced automatically.

Suggestions:
a. work out how to do it in VBA or some other programming language
b. see if a 3rd party product such as DataPrompter (
http://www.wordsite.com ) will do the job for you.
