I am trying to complete a merge for price tags.   The exel spread sheet has
1.Style_Name, 2. Style_Number, 3. Price, 4. Manufacture.   When I merge the
records the style_Number field is sometimes blank (only on the data that
contains pure #'s with no letters).

Have a look at http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk/t0003.htm - in this case you will
probably need to use the DDE approach described there.

Thank you Peter,
I found that I had cut and pasted the fields into the excel workbook (and
for some reason the merge wasn't seeing them) kinda weird b/c that data was
there, just the merge wouldn't pick it up...
I just retyped all the style numbers and it works fine, now the stupid thing
wants to omit price... and on this i have changed nothing, it worked fine
yesterday but today... grrr..  I think i need to get the old baseball bat out
:)  have a nice weekend
thanks again
