Hyperlink to email address showing Link error

Hi,

I have hyperlinks to email addresses in a Word document
like" {HYPER mailto:test@test.com}

This shows as Link errors on my document, but works on
another PC fine.

The document is in .rtf format, is this maybe the cause?

What, more specifically, are the "link errors" to which you
refer? (Exact error message and where/when it appears)
Which version of Word and Windows in both the case where
the links are good, and bad?

Is Outlook installed on both machines? Same version of Word
and Outlook?
