How can you merge more than 26 items between Word & Excel? Sounds like you are doing a label type mail merge and have not actually executed the merge. Rather, you are just previewing the result. See the article "Mailmerge Labels with Word XP" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_labels_with_word_xp.htm If that is not the case, I would be looking for some problem with the 27th record in your data source.
