I'm trying to create a catalog using the mail merge function in Word form Excel

Example: In Excel the date display as 4/5 after the merge is displays at 4/5/0

If it were only one or two records I'd just go through and change them by hand, but I can't change 2,000 dates
Is there a way to keep the format of the date the same after the merge
mm/yy --> mm/yy NOT mm/yy --> dd/mm/yy

Thanks

I'd guess you are using Word 2002 or 2003, in which case try checking Word
Tools|Options|General|"Confirm conversions at open", go through the
connection process again and select the "Excel via DDE" option when offered.
