I am using Word 2003 and would like to know, by using the "insert merge fields" button (on Mail Merge ToolBar) how can I leave the dialog box open whilst putting in a space on the document... then come back to the dialog box and select another field and so on

Or is there a better way, that this can be achieved?  Excluding the Wizard way.  Thanks to all.

This requires a macro. See Cindy Meister's article at

http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/MM2002/MM2002.htm

and look for Display list of merge fields in a non-modal dialog box.

(Many Word 2002 articles are also applicable to Word 2003)
