MAIL MERGE ERROR-UNABLE TO CREATE NEW LIST

When I try to create a new list or database in Mail Merge, I received the
following Error Message: "THIS OPERATION CANNOT BE COMPLETED BECAUSE OF
DIALOG OR DATABASE ENGINE FAILURES. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER". I have tried
re-installing WORD 2003, but it has not corrected the problem. Does anyone
have a solution? Thanks so much if you can help.
