I am trying to get my outlook express addresses onto label
for christmas cards, but keep getting a message to log on
to microsoft exchange. How do I do this??

Unfortunately, Word cannot work directly with the address book in Outlook
Express.

Go into Outlook Express and export your addresses to a file (e.g. a
delimited text file).

Then use Word Mailmerge to create a label merge that uses that file as a
data source.

For more details related to Peter Jamieson's answer go to:

http://www.btinternet.com/~kevin.james1/Ralph.htm.

There you will find detailed procedures for converting the
addresses to a database and using it to print labels.
