Hi
i have just copied a macro to update the fields in my
document automatically - it works wonderfully. EXCEPT the
file and pathname field does not update. Why is this
field not included in the update? all fields in the doc
are supposed to be updated
Thanks

As far as I know it should work unless the field is "locked" (using
ctrl-F11 - you can unlock by selecting the field and using ctrl-shift-F11).
If that makes no difference
a. which version of Word?
b. can you confirm that the field you are talking about is a

{ FILENAME } field ?
c. can you post the macro code here?

that i am aware of. For the record i am using Word 2002.
