I am fairly familiar with Access, but have only done a few merges with word
using an Excel recipient list.

The project now is a letter to 200 folks.  Each agency will be getting some
money for special projects.  Each project has a paragraph that is associated
with it.  No agency will get all the project funds, so no letter will include
all the paragraphs.

Agency one should get the paragraph 2, 5 and 9.
Agency two should get paragraph 3.
Also, these paragraphs are longer than 255 characters.

Which of you wizards are familiar enough with Access and Mailmerge to help
me make this happen... like MAGIC.

Thanks

You all are teaching me so much

Use and INCLUDETEXT field in the mailmerge main document that includes data
from a field in the datasource that relates to the file that contains the
group of paragraphs that are to be inserted.

The procedure is the same as that for including graphics (other than for the
use of the INCLUDETEXT rather than INCLUDEPICTURE) as detailed the "Graphics
from data base" item under the "Special merges" section of fellow MVP Cindy
Meister's website at:

Hope this helps.
