protection mail merge

I'm creating a document using merge feilds and i want to lock it so it can be
veiwed and printed but not edited in any way. how do i do this?

I would suggest that you convert it to a ,pdf file.

Any document you allow someone to see can be edited. You can merely put a
few obstacles in the way.
