With Word 2003, Access 2003. I'm using Word mailmerge to
create a catalog with an Access query as the datasource.
One of the fields in the Access query has the "Ole
Object" datatype and contains a GIF.  After the merge,
the picture does not show up (some apparently random
letter/numbers show up in its place). Am I doing
something wrong?
Thanks!

Word can't "read" the contents of an OLE field. You'll find
instructions for a way to use pictures in a mail merge in
the "Special Merges" section of my website's mail merge FAQ.
