I'm using Word for a merge and I cannot change the spacing and font in the
address field to match the body of the letter.  I've tried changing the font
type, and when I click on the address field, it shows the font to which I've
changed it, however, when it prints out, it is a different font type.  Thank
you.

To start with, don't use the Address Block mergefield, but insert the
individual mergefields in the in the mail merge main document in the
configuration that you want them.

If that still does not do the trick, press Alt+F9 to toggle on the display
of the field codes and inside the closing } insert

\* charformat

replacing \* mergeformat if it is there.  Then select the M of MERGEFIELD
and apply the desired formatting to it.

Alt+F9 again to toggle off the display of the field codes.

Hope this helps.
