Hello,

I am currently working on an enterprise development
project that requires standard letters to be automatically
by the system.  MS Word mail merge (running on the client
PCs) has been identified as one possibility.  However, the
data specified in the template should ideally be provided
via URL references.

Therefore, please can anyone tell me:
+  if word mail merge can specify URLs as a datasource
+  if there is a word plug-in that allow URLs to be
specified
+ or if these is another way.

Thanks.

No, not that I know of and not that I know of.

Word requires a data source that's saved to a local or a
network file. Any plug-in would essentially have to download
and save the file.
