I am trying to do a mail merge letter with first name,
middle name and last name on a document.  When there is
no middle name or initial, a space is left in the name.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the extra space
between the first name and the last name in the document?

Note : The following steps may vary depending upon the
version of the Office Suite you're using and the
Operating sytem. This steps may also vary depending upon
the type of the Data Source being used

These steps shall work perfect with MS ACCESS and Word
Data Source.

- Click MERGE option on the Merge toolbar.
- Merge Dialogue ox shall appear on the Screen.
- Click Query Options... Button on the Dialogue Box.
- you shall now see another dialogue box with two Tabs
Filter Recors and Sort records.
- By default the filter records tab is selected
- Select the Middlename Field in the FIELD option box
- Now select NOT EQUAL TO option in the Comparision field.
- click OK button.
- You are now directed to the Merge Dialogue Box Again.
- Click Merge and your problem shall be resolved.
