Hello,

I am merging Access 2000 database to Word 2000. The
database contains two types of national characters -
Polish and Danish. The problem is that after mail merge
from Access to Word only the Danish are transferred
correctly - Polish are changed to standard ( for example ó
is changed to o - I am not sure if it will be displayed on
this board correctly).

I have 3 types of keyboard layouts installed - Polish,
English and Danish. I have no problems with typing both
Danish and Polish characters both in Word 2000 and Access
2000 and they are displayed correctly. However mail merge
does not want to work. Importing Access database to Excell
work excelent but then again if I try to mail merge from
Excell to Word - Polish characters are changed.

Any ideas how to solve it ?

The only way you are likely to get this to work is to get the data into
Word, save it, and use that as your data source.

With small amounts of data at least, you can select the entire table in
Access (e.g. go to Worksheet view and click in the top left corner, then
ctrl-C) and paste it into Word. If there are fewer than around 64 columns,
it will probably copy as a Word table. If there are more columns you can try
Edit|Paste special and choose the Unformatted Unicode text option, which
should give you a tab-delimited data source. Then add a header row, save the
document, and use that as your data source.
