I'm performing a mail merge using excel as a source
document.  The numbers and dates are formatted correctly
in the excel document.  For example, the date is spelled
out and numbers have commas.  When the merge into word is
complete, the commas have been removed and the date format
is x/x/xxxx - which is not what is in the source
document.  How can this be corrected?
