I have old Works(WP)files that link to Works(DB) files.
Since Works now uses Word as the WP, I can't get Word to
recognize my Works (DB) in a merge.

Example: Contact Works database to merge with labels that
were created with Works word processor.

Is their any option I am overlooking or a method to
convert?

You probably need to ask this question in a Works group.

But
a. you should be able to open your Works WP files using Word's Works
converter. If you don't have it, you should be able to find it on the MS
website (sorry, can't suggest an address right now)
b. There is also a converter for getting data from a Works database (.wdb
format). Again, it might be available as a download.
