I cannot read my address book with Word 2000. Instead receive error
"Log on failed. You must be logged on to Microsoft Exchange to access you address book. Error Code: "Unspecified error."

The only thing different is, I had to Re-install because I got a bigger hard drive. I'm know this isn't a lot to go with, but anything would be helpful

Hi Stewart

I had trouble with Microsoft Exchange and hadn't a clue
how to log onto it. What I did was convert my address
book to a regular address database and use it to print
labels and envelopes. Go to:

http://www.btinternet.com/~kevin.james1/Ralph.htm.

There you will find some procedures to download that will
tell you how to convert an address book to a database and
how to use it for labels and envlopes. These procedures
are based on Works Suite 2001 which includes Word 2000.
The should work with either Works or Word word processors.

Word cannot merge with just any address book; it can't work with the one from Outlook Express, for example.

You need to use OUTLOOK (that comes with Office) for your address book.
