I made some forms with fillin field codes in the header of document
In word 2000 when I open the document fillin field dialogs displaying and I can fill them but in word 2003 same document dont displays the fillin field dialogs when the document opening. How can I solve this problem?

FillIn fields display by default when you create a new document based on a
template that contains them. They do not display without a macro when you
open an existing document that contains them. I confirm that a FillIn field
in a header doesn't display with a new document in Word 2003. I get the same
behavior in Word 2000. Generally, headers are not the place for fields that
seek user input.

If the StyleRef field won't do what you need, you may have to consider using
either an Ask field or a UserForm.

Hi Charles (and the original poster),

One recent, new factor with fields (not) updating are the new security
measures in the newer SP updates and newer versions of Word. See this KB
