Excel _> Word

trying to merge from Excel to Word, excel field is > 256
chars ... word only displays first 255

is there a work around

Hi Dave,

OK, I've tested in Word 2002, original release (no SPs) using
all four available connection methods and it always brought
across > 255 characters where so many were in the field (I
tested with 300).

Which connection method are you using? Do you get all the
characters if you use a different one? (If you don't know how
to specify the connection method, check in the Word2002 section
of my website's mail merge FAQ, where it talks about using the
connection methods from earlier versions)
