I have a simple field equation in which a bookmark
referring to a number is increased by 2.  The equation
worked well in Windows ME but gives an answer of 2 no
matter the value of the bookmark when I updated to XP.

Suggestions?

Can you post the field code here please?

Are you certain that the number has the value you expect (and not 0) at the
point where you are adding 2?
