Hi all, When I open a merge doc, I get the warning "Opening this will run ...", as described in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=825765 The security warning asks if I want to continue, offering Yes or No. Answering will execute the command, No will not run the command, but continue anyway (!?). The KB article mentions a workaround, by setting the registry value SQLSecurityCheck to 0. This prevents the dialog, but assumes that the user answered No. Is it possible to answer Yes (execute the command)? I looked up the registry value in REGKEY.XLS of the resource kit, but this only mentions the default value: 1. That value shows the dialog. Does anyone know of a value that prevents the dialog, and answers Yes instead? It assumes the user answers "Yes". When a mail merge document is opened, the connection to the data source is retained. If you automate mail merge with DisplayAlerts set to False, and with the security check enabled, the document will open without a prompt. But the assumption will be that the user has answered "No" and the data source will have been disconnected.
