Merge with query problem

I'm running Office XP with a database that I created.
I'm trying to link my Word documents to a specific query
in the database.  However, when I open the Mail Merge
Wizard in Word and bring up the list of Tables, only a
few of my queries are listed, mostly the ones that aren't
being used for documents.  Why is it that some of my
queries show on this list, but not others?

Sometimes, it depends on the type of query. Could you go to
one of the queries not listed, and look at it in the SQL
view? And copy the SQL to your reply, here?

You may also want to try connecting to Access using a
different (older) connection method than the new OLE DB
default. You'll find instructions for that in the Word 2002
section of my website's mail merge FAQ.

I'm experiencing a similar problem. I want to link my word
doc to a specific query; however, when I use the wizard it
will only bring up a list of tables. I cannot find an
option to drill down to any of my queries. Any suggestions?

May we assume you're using Word 2002? Or is it another
version? And the data source is Access? And are you choosing
a specific connection method, or using the default?
