I have been trying in vain to transfer the data I see into a word document, but everytime i do this all formatting and decimel places just get mixed up or lost and the numbers are 15 digits long.  After reading oll the entries on merge filed switches i knew there had to be an easier way of controlling the way the data was transfered AND THERE IS:

The easiest method to keep all formatting when merging data from excel to word is to turn on the "prescsion as displayed" option in the options - Caluculation box under the tools menu

This way all data as displayed on your worksheet will be merged into the word document and all formating such as formula, rounding up and deceimel placing etc are not lost in the transfer

NO MORE SWITCHES JUST WYSIWY

I hope this helps a lot of people

Hi. I tried your suggestion, but still had no success.

I turned on the "precision on as displayed" in my excel file. Saved it. Remerged it and still lost the formatting. Is there something else I can do? Thanks
