Hello All,

In Word XP I use the "Mail Merge Recipients" icon to sort
through files.  I'm trying to find it on Word 2000.  Does
it exist here? If not, is there an equivalent?  Thanks in
advance for your help!ren

There is no such dialog box. But there is a "Query options"
dialog box you can use to sort in most cases (depends on the
data source). In Word 2000, look for the "Mail merge..."
button on the toolbar and click it. In that dialog box you
should find a button for "Query options". (It's also
available in the "Mailmerge Helper".)

Do you mean the "Tools" menu?  I am not familiar with
a "Mail Merge" button in particular...

you see a mail merge toolbar, yes? The button is on that
toolbar. Look for the three "dots", especially. In earlier
versions of Word, this was a symbol with three dots and no
text. But I'm pretty sure it's a text label in Word 2000...
