At work using Word 97 and Excel 97 I have a merge
document using date from an Excel worksheet.  The data is
in 10 pt Arial and the Word document is in 10pt Old
English Text MT.   When I merge one field changes font
size to 14pt.  Other merge fields are Ok and stay at 10pt
as required.  The field in question is set for red text.
The OS is NT4

At home using Office XP all works OK

Anyone got any solution?

Hi Don,

Press Alt+F9 to view field codes. Look for that particular
mergefield.

If you see \* Mergeformat in there, delete it.

Add \* CharFormat at the end of the field, in any case.

Alt+F9 again to hide the field codes.
