Restore Mail Merge document to Word document

I merged a document using data from access.  I would like to remove the associated data source from my document.  When I go to Tool, Mail Merge, Main Document, Create, the Restore to Normal Word Document is not available.  Why is this happening?  Note: when merging, a parameter query is activated, then merged.
