I am using Word XP mailmerge wizard to create mailing labels from an Excel XP database. The first page of labels looks great. When I merge to a new document,  everything goes blank and the task list shows word as not responding. Anyone have a fix?

1. What's the data source? (If you don't know, tell us the file name extension or describe the steps you used to create it)

2. How many records does it contain?

3. If you boot Windows in Safe Mode and try, do you get the same problem?

4. If you hold down CTRL when starting Word, then try, does the problem still occur?

5. If you create a new merge document (not labels) and merge to the same data soruce does that work?
